As President of LEOPOLD KORN, P.A., a boutique real estate law firm founded in 1977, Karen Leopold is an experienced attorney specializing in both residential and commercial real estate transactions. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C. Prior to becoming an attorney, Karen worked for the European Union delegation and speaks French fluently. She attended the University of Miami School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctorate degree. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1977.
In addition to handling transactions, Karen forms business entities, such as limited liability companies, to hold title to real estate. She has a wide range of clients, including many international clients. She works closely with immigration counsel and tax advisers to structure the most desirable vehicles for her clients to hold title to their properties.
Karen is an agent for all of the major title underwriters in Florida, and holds an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating.
